The Corporate Communication Department is directly involved in consumer awareness, advocacy and protection and engages all stakeholders in an effort to further CRAN’s objectives. Through the Corporate Communication department, CRAN embarks on a number of initiatives aimed at fostering and establishing long-term relationships with various local and international stakeholders.

This department implements numerous stakeholder engagements to inform and sensitise Namibians about CRAN’s mandate and why regulation is imperative to the industry’s growth and success.  The department seeks to empower, inform and educate consumers through the regulatory process.

The department's successes include:

  • Launching the first national consumer campaign in 2013
  • Winning Gold for best indoor exhibitor at the Annual Windhoek Show in 2013
  • Winning Bronze for best indoor exhibitor at the Annual Windhoek Show in 2015
  • Launching the successful Vision, Mission and Values campaign
  • Initiating the first Consumer Perception Survey
  • Initiating the first Internal Communication Survey
